Bought this to connect a Mecool BB2 Pro Android Box to a CRT TV. These android boxes seem to use a pin wiring for the AV Out port with ground as sleeve, which was stated to have. I did have to swap the red and yellow channels, and confirmed later checking with a multimeter that it was wired from tip to sleeve Video, Left Audio, Right Audio, Ground. I did also have to leave the tip pulled out slightly as it was a bit long for the port on the box, measuring 17mm in length. Otherwise though this adapter worked perfectly for what I needed it for.

Top Critical Review

Some reviewers said they have to switch which connections they were using to make this splitter work. However, I tried every combination and could never get the video signal to come through. The left and right audio channels matched corresponded with the correct colors, but no matter what I did, no video ever came out of it. Maybe I was just unlucky and got the one out of one hundred thousand that are defective, but unless you’re only wanting audio, I wouldn’t recommend this cable.

Will this work on a tcl roku tv?
Answer: It’s supposed to, however my cable only sent audio to the tv, but I think my cable was defective so your mileage may vary.

Which color rca jacks correspond to the tip, ring 1, ring 2 and sleeve on the 3.5 mm plug? i.e. tip equals right audio
Answer: I believe the tip goes to white, the next ring goes to red, the third ring goes to yellow, and the base ring is ground; that is, the sleeve on all three RCA’s

Are these the connections from the 3.5mm plug to rca connections? tip 1: white; ring 2: yelllow; ring 3: ground, sleeve 4: red
Answer: No. Tip is white, next is red, third ring is yellow fourth ring is ground
