these are great, no issues adhering to my desk’s metal frame – for those having problems with their cables being too thin and the magnet sliding down the cable, just wrap a twist tie around the cable, right under the magnet, as a stopper (see pic).

The teenagers refuse to do the simple task of putting the magnet back on the strip before they exit the vehicle and instead op for dropping the cable to the floor of the vehicle where it is stepped on upon re-entry. Then they wonder why the aux cord doesn’t work.
The magnet is not strong enough to pick the cable up from the floor, but the teens think it should be. If we can make them stronger, maybe I could use this product to help clean up their rooms too?

As an adult, it works fine when you go completely out of your way for half a second and while disconnecting the cord make a slight detour near the strip and allow the magnet to take over. Surprisingly, your cord will still be there when you get back. So far this has been the case in warm and cold temperatures, rain or shine, and if the car is parked N/S vs E/W.

Occasionally, the magnet does try to flip over and isn’t quite strong enough to stay put when working through the cable it’s attached to.

Answer: Hello, our clamps only have a little magnetism, if placed alone on the metal may slip away and not so stable, need to be put on the base
