Supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode), audio and 4K@60Hz video signal for video output and connecting usb-c monitor. (Note: this cable can’t work with the iPhone charger.)

Top Positive Review

If you need one USB-C cable this is the one. What’s tricky with USB-C cables denomination is that USB C is just the plug type there is no supported implicit speed of the cable. Indeed manufacturer makes USB C that can support only USB2 (ie. 480Mb/s) or USB3.0 (aka USB3.1 Gen1 at 5Gb/s) or UBS3.2 Gen 2 at 10Gb/s. This cable supports the full 10Gb/s and can transfer video if connecting to screen/monitor unlike the other. The cable is more on stiffer side but it’s really great deal for the price. Other brand like Anker are way more expensive and not exactly at the same quality of this one. !

Top Critical Review

I was skeptical when I saw this item claiming 3.1 Gen2 speeds @ 6.6 ft. Preliminary research indicated the protocol tends to crap out after a bout a meter. But I figured the worst case scenario might be knocking down to 3.1 Gen1 speeds, which is supposedly good to 3 meters and would have been fine with me.

The attached screenshots show CrystalDiskMark tests done on the same USB 3.0 flash drive, which show this cable knocking the device down to 2.0 speeds.

Customer Questions & Answers

Transfer data from Lg phone to new Samsung?
Answer: Yes, assuming both have Type-C ports.

can this fit on my 2015 macbook air?
Answer: No. Your 2015 MacBook Air has a Thunderbolt 2 port (also known as Mini DisplayPort). You would need an appropriate Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter or a Mac with a Thunderbolt 3 port.

What are the dimensions of the black plug head part of the cable? i have a device with a relatively small recessed port where the usb-c plugs in.
Answer: This did work on a recessed port for me. However, a different case it was nearly too short.
