Top Positive Review

I ordered this scanner to replace one that was over 10 years old.
Uniden is one of the worlds best bands for scanners, and this unit
is nothing short of that. It’s compact and easy to use.
If your use to programing scanners you will have no issues with understanding how to get it up and running, For others not so skilled, Read all the instructions ! The issue in flipping bands, and flipping to program bands, as
well as flipping the high / low search bands, Might be confusing, But if you
read the instructions slowly you will see how one works, just apply that knollage
to all the scanners band scanning settings.
I had mine up in running in 30 mins, and fully loaded with all my local freq’s

Most Freq’s can be found online, listed by state here […]

Top Critical Review

I got this scanner as a Xmas gift and reading the reviews it says it’s a simple setup and easy to use. Well, I have to disagree with those statements. First off it did not pickup any signals for either police or fire. In addition, the manual is not straightforward. For someone who has never had a scanner and knows very very little about them it’s not easy to setup or use…forget using cause never got a chance. Now if you look at comments from people who said that this is easy it’s their 2nd one or replacement, or an additional one…well fine they have had one and probably no the basics of setting this up no problem. But for someone who has never owned one or even set one up….stay away. Not easy to use….only thing that did work the music am/fm turner…but the scanner never picked up a thing. Purchase an easier to use one….stay away.

Also, I would like to mention that when I got this item from the seller it was missing components and I had to get them replaced to test the machine out. Buyer Beware.

Customer Questions & Answers

Our area police and fire freqs use 152.200 – 159.200. Does this scanner cover that range.
Answer: All police and fire are now digital. This is not a digital scanner. IT’S TOTALLY USELESS ! the only things that you will pick up is weather and small planes. DON’T BUY IT !

I want to program my own selected channels. Can this one do that?
Answer: If I’m understanding you correctly, YES. I cover several communities for the news and put in the police and fire channels for all of them. If one is annoyingly dominant and constantly on air, I switch them off so the others can have a chance. It is a nice little scanner with a good range.

what type of battery does it take?
Answer: runs of AC power, but does have a back up battery component that uses three AA batteries, which will provide approx. 24 hrs of continuous power. Bought this for my husband who is a fire chief, and we have no complaints. Works perfectly, and the reception is great!

a digital one that picks up trunked systems and will pick up in the 800mh?
Answer: This question is over my head. All I know is the scanner does not work and I let to much time go by to return it because it was a Christmas gift bought to early.
