The RCA connection to the TV was corrupted, but rather than buying a new TV this adapter did the trick just fine. Purchased the female connectors, plugged it in and it immediately brought the Wii’s picture back to life. The picture is a bit blurry (it’s not terrible at all), but I’ll assume that’s the Wii’s issue, not the TV’s.
Although the Wii is going the way of the Dodo, there are still plenty of fun games (used) out there and this allowed us to enjoy it a bit longer without shelling hundreds of dollars on a new console (and yet again new games). So, don’t donate, sell, or throw away your old Wii quite yet.

Bought this to plug my 360 into my new 4k 55 inch tele. Of course there are no component hook up. Did I think it was 2003 still. On the old set, the console worked perfect @1080p. Long story short. I got it all hooked up and it was stuck at 640 X 480 resolution and it was a mess. colors were bad, scratchy lines the whole ball of wax. There was something very wrong with that converter. I guess I’m buying a new Xbox 2020 model.

Answer: I doubt it. Your car & smartphone don’t have the RCA plug in cords. I have used it to connect a DVD player to play thru a smart board.

It doesn’t support 3d, but will it support a vcr/vhs to 4k??
Answer: No, since it goes from RCA, the highest possible resolution you will get is 480p. Your TV may scale to 4k but it will not be 4k quality. It will just copy pixels over to scale it to size which results in a blurry rendering.
