I’m glad they still make simple MP3 players like this. After a recent check-up, I was informed of some news that has made it imperative that I take some steps to live a healthier lifestyle. We all know that means exercise. I have a phone and it could certainly serve as my music source while I’m doing that, but I’ve damaged more than one expensive phone on a run by having it drop out of my pocket and smash onto pavement. I prefer to rely on a much more expendable and replaceable mp3 player. This fulfills that role. I don’t put the entirety of my music library on it, just a smaller more manageable curated library of favorites. The 16gb card this comes with is more than enough for that. It sounds great, is small and light, has all the basic functions, and enough battery life to get through a few work outs without charging. The buds it comes with aren’t total trash either. For what I paid, this far exceeds my expectations. My one deduction came in navigating the operating system. The controls are not super initiative, as others have noted. Once you get the hang of the controls though its fairly easy to use. adjusting the volume isn’t super easy while actively listening. Be nice if it had bluetooth but that’s not necessary, or probably expected at this price point.

You can’t listen to music while this thing is charging, as you can with some other mp3 players. Also, the menu operation is horrible, and hard to understand. Spend the extra $ and get a Sandisk unit… they are tried and true.
