Advertised as gold plated but it is not. The length was just short of 3′. If it did not take so much effort and difficulty to install this would be returned. Not recommended.

Answer: Yes it should connect. Most soundbars and TV have a connection.

Will this plug into my orange digital output port on my tv so I can connect to sound bar?
Answer: Yes, assuming the digital ports on both your tv (frequently orange coded) and sound bar are both round (not the square optical type), this is the right cable. Works great on my tv with sound bar.
