These calculators work great for my sixth graders. Gives just what I need for them and can withstand being moved around from student to student, class to class (middle school), and year to year. The buttons are plastic so they are definitely more durable than other calculators where I’ve had buttons just pulled out. After about 3 years, I finally had to buy a few more calculators to replace a few that have been damaged (mostly during a time I was on maternity leave), and I right away wanted to buy another set of these. Love them!

Gets the job done but not the best. I bought these for the affordable price but my Middle Schools have a hard time with them. I??ve even had a few hiccups modeling how to use them to the students. Hard to get the numbers pushed in just right.

what is the battery for if they are solar powered?

Thank you for your inquiry. During the day/daylight or in a bright room you may use the calculator but in case there is not enough light to power the calculator the battery powers it.

This product is much smaller than the dimensions given in the product description. Did we receive the wrong item?
Answer: I actually returned these calculators. They were too small for my students to use. They kept pushing the wrong keys and getting frustrated.

I can not get the screws out to the battery compartment to change the battery?
Answer: I have tried on only 1 and used a small eye glass screw driver. When the battery dies I find the solar panels fill in nicely.
