“Cooling fitted mattress protector” seemed like an oxymoron to me. As a ‘hot” sleeper, I was concerned b/c most mattress protectors leave me drenched in my own sweat. They are generally not very airy and are noisy when you turn over. I am so very glad I tried this one. It is airy, does not cause me to sweat and makes no noise. It truly is as stated. Also it does have deep pockets for a deeper mattress. Highly recommend this item.

*BEWARE! DOES NOT PROTECT AGAINST BED WETTING ACCIDENTS!!!
I have used this mattress cover for 6 months. As of just now my son??s urine accident has gone through to the mattress the past 5-6 times. The mattress cover worked for a little while, which probably explains the high amount of positive reviews. I would have thought maybe we just got a defective item; however, we also have the king size with the same problem.
