I did several tests of this pouch at home. First i did a paper tissue test – I placed several sheets of tissues inside the pouch, sealed it and submerged it in the sink. I did it several times taking pouches out, dunked them underwater and held pouches down. Each time there were no leaks and tissues remained dry. So then I tested them with my iPhone 7Plus inside. It stayed completely dry! I was absolutely terrified to chance it but both worked. The main issue found was with the touch screen. The touch screen worked great through the plastic while it was out of the water. But underwater it does not work well at all. It would not allow me to turn on the phone or enter my passcode to unlock the phone underwater. So I took pouches out of the water (phones still inside the pouch) to unlock the phone, then put them back underwater. Once it was unlocked and submerged, i tried to access the camera. Nope. So I took it back out of the water to open the camera app, then put it back underwater. no luck, unresponsive phone keyboard. That is kind of a bummer because main reason I bought this was so i could take pics. But at the very least i can get in the water at the beach and have my phone on me for security reasons and protect it from getting wet. so far that’s the only upside.
