Ever wonder if those insurance programs from Amazon work? I almost always decline them, but two years ago when I purchased a point and shoot camera, I paid the $24.99 because it said it covered accidents and I knew I would be taking this little camera out kayaking and hiking. Well sure enough I dropped it two weeks ago and the screen had cracks all over it and the shutter wouldn??t open when you turned it on – it looked hopeless. Then, I remembered I had purchased the insurance from Asurion and I found the documentation (grateful for being organized) and made a claim. I received the camera back and it is the same serial number as my original and it works like a charm.

The only reason I didn’t give them a 5 was because they didn’t email me the shipping documentation. I had to keep going back to their site and logging on with my claim number to get the shipping documentation and instructions and to know the status. I know they know my email because they emailed me to give them a review before I had even received the fixed camera. I would have liked to have received emails from them about the documentation, that they received the camera and that it was fixed and being sent to me so I could know to be expecting the camera via UPS. But, I was grateful when the UPS person showed up with my working camera

Unfortunately this insurance will make it miserable for a buyer to fulfill a claim. I am in the process of a claim and what should be a simple process is turning painfully long and needlessly complicated to replace a broken removable part on a cellular trail camera. Turns out that the most likely part to be damaged on this camera, the paddle antenna, is not covered under this plan. Get the plan exclusions and fine print before purchasing these protection plans you will probably find that the most likely damage to occur on your item will not be covered. On the good side Asurion is agreeing to refund the cost of the plan following the rejection of my claim for antenna damage.

Answer: Yes you can! This camera takes great pictures. Makes it awesome that it works with bluetooth

Can you get snorkeling filters for this camera?
Answer: Do not know what snorkeling filters are? The camera works GREAT underwater! Just got back from snorkeling with it. We selected the “underwater” photography setting.
