Top Positive Review

This game offers so much combinations and possibilities for turn-based RPG.. It’s like a true RPG gamer’s dream. Each of your characters have their own skill tree where you can mix and match certain skill to a unique build. The equipment drops also have different rarity which determine your character’s ability. There are also items that increase your character’s stats to it’s fullest potential. Ex: agility based equipment will influence crit rate. It’s just so reminiscent to any MMORPG where your character is unique to it’s own because perhaps you found a ring which gives +5 attack or a robe which gives +30% crusher ability. There is also gauge system which determines your actions and how to setup your combos. There also a limit breaker where each character has their own special ability with beautifully animated scenes. There is so much more it has to offer but keep in mind at the first few moments of the game it might seem boring and repetitive but as you progress, you’ll soon get hooked.

Top Critical Review

I bought this game mainly because I love Tri-Ace, but also because I love to play my J-rpgs on the go while traveling.
What??s good:
– Beautiful graphics, particularly during greed attacks; they really showcase the capabilities of PS Vita that I feel most Vita haters don??t know exist. Think Phantasy Star Nova (another Tri-Ace game)
– Multiple story lines and relationships to develop that can affect the game??s ending.
– Fully narrated in English
– Auto save capable

What??s bad:
– Gated content behind abilities that you unlock as you progress through the story. If you are a completionist like me, look the other way. E.g. The first several hours of this game has content that you simply can??t access, even though you can see it, because you need to ??unlock?? the double-jump ability first, among other things.
– No open-world exploration. All playing is done via a launch screen that allows you to enter dungeons one at a time in order to progress through the story.
– Soundtrack sounds like it was made in a studio apartment bathroom on a cheap keyboard synthesizer. Nothing catchy. I got tired of hearing it.
– Pointlessly long and complex dungeons with an over abundance of recycled enemies. This is my chief complaint about the game. Each dungeon has hundreds of enemies to fight, but there is no creativity behind them. Getting into combat was more annoying than fun. And did I mention pointlessly long dungeons?
– Lazy designing of characters. There are a ton of different armor choices and upgrades as you progress, but they aren’t displayed on your characters. The weapons cycle through about 3 different designs, and various colors, but that??s about it. A lot left to be desired.
– Needs a tutorial system overall, but I would have appreciated one at least for item enhancements. I went through the entire game without using any because I didn??t understand what they were.

As this game drew to a close, I felt like it dragged on for an eternity. After finally finishing, it encouraged a second play through to try for 100% completion but I cannot bear the thought of one more of those atrocious, uneventful fights.

Customer Questions & Answers

Can you play as and girl
Answer: No – you play as the main character, who is male. You do have female characters who are your allies in battles.

Can I play with japanese voices and english subs?
Answer: Absolutely, there are voice options you can change at anytime in the game from English to Japanese.

There are claims that the Vita version isn’t stable and will cause the frame to drop significantly and the handheld to freeze. Any word on that?
Answer: I have had some frame rate drops. However i have never had the vita freeze on me while playing a game before. You should only play this game on a vita if you do not have a ps4. It feels great on a vita but the performance issues are an unneeded distraction. I hope this helped!!!

Can I play with the D-pad?
Answer: No, movement on the map, as you navigate between fights and destinations, requires used of the analog stick.
