SUMMARY:
1. This is the second intruder that got into our fire escape this week so it was pretty scary when the music alarm of our motion sensor went on again. This intruder was canvasing our veranda. But since the door in our domicile was partially happen, he was able to hear the sound alarm and that scared him off!

2. My husband ordered a second motion sensor immediately after this incident happened. The order arrived fast and was delivered today, JULY 25, 2020. By noon time, my husband installed it in another angle of our veranda.

3. My husband will order a second receiver to be placed in our veranda so the would-be-intruder could hear its loud musical alarm! We decided to have a second one for the intruder’s ears and the first one, for our own alert, indoor.

I highly recommend this gadget for its powerful make up, functionality and industrial design.

When you first hook it up it works for a day or two and then so intermittent it is totally unreliable! Contacted AMZ and they sent me another one against my better judgement but I let him talk me into it. Worked ideally for about two weeks and then again so intermittent it is just too unreliable! I bought this on the high customer reviews but they have all obviously been salted. I am stuck with it now as it is outside of the return policy. The problem appears to be that the solar and the batteries one or the other are not working properly. I believe that the batteries are outside of their usable purpose and there is no way to change them out. At first I thought I had it too far from the driveway at 20′ and then I moved it to within 5′. Did little to help but there was an improvement. If it is an overcast day or after the sun goes down it just does not work. A true waste of money I am so sorry I let the clerk talk me into another replacement. I hope this helps others who are looking at this product.

This product should deal with minor obstructions between sensor and receiver, however, some dense things, such as lots of trees, will weaken the signal. Anything solid, such as a hill or block wall, can block the signal entirely. Try relocating the units with the above in mind. Your concern about “downhill” should have??

can you use two receivers with one sensor?

I wanted a 2nd receiver, but I decided to buy the whole combo again, since the receivers were so expensive. I figured I may as well buy the combo . So I put up 2 sensor/transmitters & set them apart — you probably need 7 feet between them for them to work separately. Then I set my 2 receivers for 2 different music cli??

Can you put the receiver on a timer so you dont get notifications during sleeping hours or will you need to setup things each time it powers back on?

We??re not sure about with a timer. There is a battery backup, so it continues to work if unplugged/power goes out. We thought maybe you could take the batteries out, but then it doesn??t work at all. An option to prevent sleep disruption could be just turn the volume down when sleeping.
