I needed this for a surveillance camera that had its original power cord accidentally destroyed. The description said this item worked with cameras but it was a pleasant surprise that the description also showed the dimensions and polarity of the tip. That description was spot on, the tip fit the connection for the camera, and when it booted up after being unpowered for several days it had retained its settings and I was able to connect the controller app straight away.

This adapter is just what the doctor ordered. Please take the time to measure your existing connector or dead tip to make sure it is 5.5mm x 2.5mm and you will have a great result if you order this item. If I accidentally destroy another PS, I will buy this item again without hesitation!!

So I got two of these. The first one immediately came broken and when I attempted to put it back together, it would smoke when plugged into the wall. No problem, I’ll order a replacement. I returned it and got a new one.

The new one plugged into the wall, smoked, broke in half, and started to burn.

I have a black and decker ss12 cordless drill, will this charger work for it? i confirmed everything except the 2a in output.
Answer: I really don??t know what connector you need. Then you would have to match the amps of the original power supply.
