This was purchased to replace the same model calculator that I bought roughly 10 years ago. It has been a great calculator for my needs. I need to do a lot of calculations using inches and feet and also converting back and forth from metric and this has suited me well. After 10 years of use the first one started getting some inconsistent button presses and the flip cover broke off. I bought this one to keep at my desk at work and then opened up the old one and cleaned off all the contacts inside and taped the covers hinge back on and put it in my backpack for when I go to job sites. I don’t expect to need to buy another one for at least 10 years.

I have used Calculated Industries calculators for 25+ years, as I am an Architectural Designer. I thought I’d save a little money this time around and buy the $26.98 one. Mind you, my 25+ year one still works fine, with the exception of the the “clear” button. It’s worn out after so much use. After using the more expensive ones, for so many years, I would say that this one is rather CHEAPLY MADE. My main complaint is the buttons are not as easily pushed as the higher end models. I use these a lot and this is an issue for me. For someone who just needs to add a few things occasionally, this model would be fine. For a person who uses a calculator as a tool for their paychecks, skip this one a stick with the higher models!!! As the old adage goes…you get what you pay for I’m off to buy the better one!

Does it convert square yards to square feet and vice versa?
Answer: Haven’t used this in a while so not certain if it has a button for that. But since there are 9 square feet in a square yard you can just do the math since it is a calculator. Square yards to square feet – x 9. Square feet to square yards – /9. Same with cubic only use 27. Same with inches and feet only use 144 (12×12).

Does it tell you how much concrete in yards for Footers?
