I bought a 4 year warranty on a router. After almost one year it failed. I contact Asurion and i am told to contact the manufacturer as the device is still under their warranty (So what for am I paying Asurion for the first year?) The manufacturer, Netgear, tells me that their warranty only covers hardware, I have to pay them for them to look at the device, but why should I pay extra. I bought a 4-year warranty or so I thought. Asurion tell me that because the manufacturer wants to charge me money, that means that I am still under their warranty. (what am I paying Asurion for) Asurion says they cover the rest (what…rest). So, netgear will not look at my device unless I pay them. Asurion says will not do anything (although I pay for 4 years warranty) because it is still covered by the manufacturer. So Asurion gets paid for one whole year for doing nothing. Oh…they cover the rest. In the meantime my device is dead. WHAT A RIP OFF
