It works well in the lighter receptacles in both of our heavy trucks (which is why I got it). On our heavy trucks, the batteries in our Peterbilt are difficult to get to; the batteries in our Kenworth are very difficult to get to. This makes it very easy to connect our BatteryMINDer to the trucks to maintain their batteries.
Unfortunately, it pops out of the receptacle in our ’89 Chevy G20 van. With that, however, I can easily get to the battery to use alligator clips.

Can you jump start a atv with this?
Answer: This is only the 12/24 volt plug for a Battery Minder. This would not be able to jump start a battery.
I have a car with the 12v outlet powered only when the key is turned to the ignition’s accessory position. Can it still charge key-out & ignition off?
Answer: Unfortunately it will not work if that is the case. You might want to try the accessory that connects directly to the car battery. Good luck!
Will this work on other brand battery maintainers with same connection?

Does this work with the BatteryMinder Part#24041 12/24 AGM/SLA/GEL Model I just bought?
Answer:
Yes it does. Just keep in mind that if you plug the charger into a vehicle’s cigarette lighter, and the vehicle shuts off power to the cigarette lighter when you turn the vehicle off, then the connection from your 24041 charger to the battery will be disconnected as well.
