I bought this wire to connect a portable DVD player to an LED projector so my kids could have movie theater night at home. Both machines came with a wire that had 3.5 on one side and AV cables on the other but neither machine had jacks to accommodate the AV cables for either input or output. I had my hopes up with this wire so I could plug it into the DVD player’s 3.5 output and the projector’s 3.5 input jacks. When I plugged it in, the speaker on the projector made a terrible sound and did not transmit the sound from the DVD player. I managed to stick it in about halfway and the video displayed, leaving the audio coming out of the DVD player’s speaker. I only used it that one time so far and I’m glad we were able to at least use it for the most important part, which was the video portion. I’m disappointed that it did not work for audio/video as advertised but relieved that it wasn’t totally useless.
