So I was using the provided ethernet cable that spectrum supplied me with but I wanted to see if this cable would make a difference. I preformed a test of an average of speeds with each cable from three runs each and here was my results-

So obviously a decent improvement with not much money invested at all!

GOT IT FOR MY LAPTOP FOR FASTER CONN, DID SPEED TEST WAS 26 MBPD DWNLD 28 MBPS UPLD EXTREMELY SLOW FOR MY CONN SPEED, MORE SLOW THAN MY CAT 5, I PUT A VERY OLD CAT 5 IN AND IT SHOWED 62 MBPS DWNLD AND 31 MBPS UPLD, I’VE NEVER SEEN IN 20 YEARS A UPLD NUMBER BIGGER THAN THE DWNLD NUMBER, THIS ONE CABLE HAS NOT BEEN TESTED / PASSED QUALITY CONTROL ( A SIMPLE OHM TEST IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH ) AND IS SHORTED OR SOMETHING, I TRIED IT ON A VERIZON NETWORK ADAPTER, I CALL IT A MINI CELL TOWER, IN MY HOME, RJ45 AND SATELLITE CONN, AND IT WOULD NOT WORK AT ALL AGAIN PUT THE 10 YEAR OLD CAT 5 CABLE AND IT BOOTED UP IMMEDIATELY, I CAN’T SAY EVERY CABLE IS DEFECTIVE, BUT I HAVE SCIENTIFIC LEGALLY PROVABLE INFO THAT THIS ONE CABLE IS DEFECTIVE, WHICH MEANS THEIR QUALITY CONTROL IS WEAK OR DOESN’T EXIST AT ALL, AND IN MY SCENARIO IF I ONLY HAD THIS CABLE I WOULD THINK I HAVE 26 MBPS WHEN IN TRUTH I HAVE 60 OR BETTER, SO MOST PEOPLE MAY HAVE NO CLUE THEY HAVE A BAD CABLE AND SUFFER WITHOUT KNOWING, MY ONE HUGE MAIN PROOF IS THE VERIZON BOX WOULD NOT CONNECT AT ALL WITH THIS CABLE, IT NEEDS A FASTER MORE RELIABLE OLD CAT 5 ( WHICH WE KNOW SHOULD NOT BE FASTER ) CONNECTION, THAT THIS DEFECTIVE CAT 6 CABLE DOES NOT HAVE, I HOPE ALL THE REST ARE NOT DEFECTIVE, THANK YOU

Answer: I did not have the same problem. I received the correct item the first time I ordered it.

Is this cable stranded or solid?
Answer: It is a solid enclosed flat cable. No visible strands until you cut it.

Will this cable connect my Vizio smart tv to my close-by Comcast modem/router. I just want to stream on the tv.
Answer: As long as the TV has a network port (not just Wi-Fi)

What does CAT-6 or other #s mean for ethernet cable?
Answer: The higher the Cat number, the higher the speed rating of the cable.
