Have you ever thought to yourself, “I’d love to use an HDMI cable to tread a tank”? This might be for you.
The outside casing is incredibly tough, which is both good and bad; it’s rather stiff and resistant to bending, but that means that once you get it the way you want it, it’ll stay there even if your cat happens to jump up and hang from it (trust me). Also, works perfectly well for transferring HDMI data.

Hard to tell in the default display photo, but this cable is VERY thick. I??d say about double or even triple the thickness of a standard HDMI cable.

Not a negative review by any means, just a warning for other potential buyers who thought the braided cable would be thinner than a standard cable. It is very thick and heavy, definitely nice but not what I was expecting.

Answer: An educated guess: it must not be fiber, or the promotional material would be touting it as fiber…so it must be copper. But I have no “inside information,” so to speak.

Answer: Cables only have rated bandwidth. Any other standards are on hdmi ports themselves on the devices. So if you plug this cable into an hdmi 2.0 port with hdcp 2.2 yes it will work.

What temperature is this cable rated to endure? I have an in wall fireplace and it should be fine but want to make sure.
Answer: If the cable is vinyl it should be rated to about 80 degrees. If your cable is braided most will go to 120

Answer: This will work, but I highly recommend you do not get this cable for connecting the Switch dock to your TV, for 2 reasons. 1: the Switch already comes with an HDMI cable; and 2: this HDMI cable is especially thick, and may be too big to fit in the back of the Switch dock comfortably.
