TLDR; these cables are faulty and worthless.

You get what you pay for – cheap HDMI cables are poor substitutes for the real thing. I didn’t even know you could mess up HDMI cables until I got these, but apparently you can. The first cable I used showed a bunch of static and weird colors (which is weird for a digital signal). I swapped to an old HDMI cable and the picture was a fine. I figured maybe just one was a dud, but I also noticed that my surround sound started skipping weirdly. I replaced a bunch of wires and banana clips, but nothing solved the issue. It turns out that the HDMI cable I used for the ARC connection was also faulty, which caused the strange audio skips. I again replaced this with an old cable and everything was fine. I’m not going to bother testing the last three, as these cables are a waste of time and money.
