Engineering grade – FAIL! Despite the fact that the obvious place one would use this product is in a car, if it is mounted on a horizontal surface, ie on top of your dashboard, the magnetic surface for the phone cannot be lowered beyond a 45 degree upward angle. This angle would be fine if you choose to ride on the roof of your car and peer in at your phone through the sun roof. But what if you don’t have a sun roof? In that case you would feel very silly riding out there and still not being able to see your screen. But you won’t be able to see it any better from the front seats because your phone will be pointed up at the roof. Otherwise it appears to be very well constructed and the magnet is quite strong. In fact, the magnet is so good that I think you could probably attach this device to your living room wall and use it to hang pictures. That is probably its highest and best use.
