Update: After my testing here are my result
At No Load ( 0.0 Amps). Voltage Averaged 12.49 volts. At Full load (2.0 Amps). Voltage averaged 11.92 volts. Max temperature after one hour was 153 degrees F on side that plugs in and 133 degrees F on the side that faces the room. As plastic does not conduct Temperature well it was not too hot to hold on to. I was pleased with these two units. Would like a longer cord and it was a larger pack but I would much rather have it work well than look pretty. I would purchase again as needed.

Meets my initial Testing for Voltage @ No load and @ Full load 2 Amps. After 1hour both units were NOT TOO HOT, as I could hold in my hand easily. Would purchase again when I need more

The product puts out the voltage as stated and looks to be good if you need a 12V power supply to quickly power something up on a bench. However, as it has no safety approvals (i.e. UL, ETL, CSA, CE, etc.) I am a bit nervous about having this running un-attended (I need the power supply to be powering equipment in my garage 24/7/365). Had I known this before ordering, I would have selected another power supply with approvals. However, at the price paid, it’s not worth my time to return. I will need to keep looking for something else.

I am getting a red light when using this to power a simple dimmer + 7 watt led bulb. what does the red light mean?
Answer: Red light means it’s on. That’s all.

Do they get very hot say burn to a fast touch?
Answer: these operate at the same temperature as your Modem or switch power supply for your computer. just warm not hot. Remember, do not overload them 2 AMP MAX.

My model train layout has a bunch of mini-led lights. they are expecting 12v dc. will this work for this application?
Answer: I would expect the mini-LEDs have a low current draw, so this will probably work -> 12V DC 2Amp output. The screw terminal adapter may make it easy to wire in.

has anyone used this for stepper motor?
Answer: These will work perfectly if you have a seperate curcuit board for the steppers.
