The bracket seems to be fine, and was fairly easy to install overall (albeit heavy; it would be easier for two to install, one to hold and position the bracket and one to mark the pilot holes). But there is one very large problem: The bolts provided to install the unit to the wall are VERY long… about 2-1/2 inches. This was longer than the space to the outside wall of my RV!!! Before I realized it, I had poked a hole through the RV with one bolt. I purchased new 1-1/2″ lag screws at the hardware store and mounted the unit with those; these seemed to work fine.

So before you drill pilot holes and screw in the bolts to the wall of your RV, be sure you know the thickness of the wall, or use shorter screws!

This mount would probably work great for a smaller TV, it is not sturdy enough for larger ones. I used it to mount a 43″ TV that weighed under 40 lbs. It is not very sturdy when extended slightly, allowing the TV to bounce easily. The real problem is all the slop in the mechanism when locked. While traveling down the road, the TV rubs and beats up the wall. I tightened all the joints up as much as possible but there is still way too much play on a larger TV. The advertised maximum weight is 77lbs, but it should be much lower for use in an RV.

Would a standard piece of rectangle electrical romex (2 wires plus ground) fit inside the channel?
Answer: I measured the width and height of the cable. Inside measurements are approximately 1/2 inch x 1/4 inch.

The cover is bit flexible and does bend, both inward and outward depending on whether you want to put in a thicker wire or put a tight connector outside of the cable cover itself

What is the best way to install this on a textured wall?

However, I am sorry to tell you that this one-cord channel cable concealer kit doesn’t include the screws and anchors. But we have other model cmc-01 and cmc-02 that are all much bigger than this on??
